It’s March and spring is underway so I better get ready for it. I’m new in the place and would want to get acquainted with the place and the neighbourhood. I also plan to go on a hike every day at Wascana Park to exercise and to have some sunlight. When you are outside of the house and alone, there is no telling when an emergency arises. This is why I thought I need to have a cell phone so I could call my husband, my only contact person in Regina, whenever an urgent situation comes up.

Before we went shopping for my new cell phone, I already have in mind what I wanted in a cell phone unit. I wanted it to have a camera and a MP3 player so I could also use it to listen to my favourite songs. I would not need an internet connection for now since I have no important use of it. I have my own computer at home.

The following weekend, we went to Northgate Mall to buy my cell phone. We decided to go for Rogers Wireless because my husband is already a Rogers subscriber. I chose the LG VU unit since it has my requirements in a cell phone and the sleek design was a definite plus. From there, we went to Future Shop to buy the expandable memory for the cellphone, a 16G Micro SD.

When we got home, I immediately installed the Micro SD and added my favourite playlist to the cellphone. I really liked it. LG Vu has a touch screen display, it plays my songs through the speaker and it already has built-in programs like the tipulator, world clock, unit converter, stopwatch, etc. I have no data plan so I will be charged whenever I use the internet.

LG VU cell phone is far from perfect but I think no phone is ever perfect, exactly why new models are coming out so frequently. Considering the features and the price, I would say, I got a nifty deal with it.
